The Hostaria Vecchia Rapallo is the refined creation of Massimo Magoni, which recently celebrated 25 years in business, cited and celebrated in numerous prestigious guides such as Touring Club, Top Choice, 2015, Mare in Italy, Gambero Blu and Cibando.

Hostaria Vecchia Rapallo also is a Certified Hospitality Italian Restaurant and Gourmet Genoa, which is a guarantee of origin and quality of the proposal of the menu through dishes prepared according to the recipes of ancient Genovese tradition and prepared with certified products of the territory.

Hostaria Vecchia Rapallo is in the heart of the historic village of Rapallo, near the sea, and its atmosphere is that of an old place, which, with its plaster pitted raw and exposed wood beams, retains traces of its previous marine origin, has now been transformed into an elegant restaurant.

During the summer it is possible and it is very pleasant outdoor dining in the outdoor tables arranged along the pedestrian street Fratelli Cairoli, which overlooks the restaurant, accessible from the ancient port of Saline or promenade.

This way, being closely cropped and between buildings in the historic center of Rapallo, has the advantage of always remain pleasantly shaded and ventilated, allowing you to enjoy the best lunch or dinner, even the hottest day, without having to suffer the sun and the heat, as is the Promenade, and having to resort to air conditioning.

KITCHEN

The kitchen, sea and land, follows the same principle, drawing continuously to the imagination and innovative while respecting tradition.

Genovese focaccia and pasta are all homemade, fresh every day.

In stuffed pasta choice is very wide and you can have: Ravioli stuffed with pears or beets, bream or snapper.

The pesto sauce, sauces and other toppings are always fresh and homemade, as well as all the sweets of their own production and with exclusive recipes created and developed by Massimo Magoni and by Chef Gianni Paschino.

THE MENU’

Among the proposals of the menu, which can vary according to the season, in particular evidence that some dishes are the faithful expression of tradition and good food Liguria, such as:

Pansoti at Sugo di Noci (certificate De.Co.)
Lasagna with Pesto
Ligurian fish (red snapper or croaker or amberjack to availability)

Octopus Salad with Pistachios, Pachino tomatoes, oranges and black olives
Ravioli with Pears in Cream Cheese (Grana Padano, Fontina and Gorgonzola)
Fish beetroot ravioli in sauce Prawns
Scampi Sauce Sour Grapefruit and White Wine

In addition, the Hostaria Vecchia Rapallo, being extremely attentive to the needs of its customers, has implemented well in advance of the provision of law Italian and European legislation in 1169 of 2011, which set out, as of December 13, 2014, the obligation to report menu in the presence of the allergen to avoid any problems for people sensitive to these ingredients.

SERVICE

It’s followed personally by Massimo Magoni and is extremely attentive and cared for, to the point of being one of the most important and distinctive features appreciated by those who frequent this place and have earned certification under the brand Hospitality Italian Chambers of Commerce and 2015 Top Choice, a very prestigious recognition for the Asian market.

Listening to the customers and their needs, in order to guarantee him the greatest satisfaction, are to Massimo and his staff an essential principle, they care above all else.

The table service is supervised directly by Massimo Magoni, who also speaks English and French, and Cristiano Ratto, who speaks excellent English.

During the busiest holiday, in Spring and Summer, joins them Sabina Agostini, who was also very proficient with English and to meet the needs of clients of all nationalities and backgrounds.

THE CELLAR

It has more than 120 labels of the highest level, including red, white, rosé, meditation, sparkling wines and champagnes, wines of Italian, French, and some excellent Slovenian.

THE COOKING SCHOOL

A morning of cooking school to discover the secrets of traditional Ligurian dishes and homemade pasta.
During the lesson, the following dishes will be presented:

– Stuffed Vegetables
– Lasagne with Pesto (mandilli de sea)

Each participant will participate actively in the lesson producing under our guide:

– The pesto
– Lasagna
– The stuffed vegetacbles

In addition each participant will receive the form containing the recipes and instructions for preparing the dishes presented.

The morning ends with a lunch in which the dishes presented in the cooking school will be served with the combination of a Ligurian wine.
